Service-related diagnostic, usage, and performance information including IP address, device information, browser type, activity timestamps, pages viewed, searches, and other feature usage.

Location Data

We collect location data such as your device's approximate location based on IP address. You can opt out by disabling Location settings on your device, though this may limit certain features.

As part of our Services, we offer AI-powered products and features (collectively, "AI Products") designed to enhance your writing experience. We provide these through third-party AI service providers including Anthropic, Google Cloud AI, and xAI.

Your input, output, and personal information may be shared with and processed by these AI Service Providers to enable your use of our AI Products. You must not use the AI Products in any way that violates the terms or policies of any AI Service Provider.

Our AI Products are designed for:

  • AI document generation
  • AI research
  • AI search
  • Text analysis

All personal information processed using our AI Products is handled in line with this Privacy Notice and our agreements with third parties.

7. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this notice, or as required or permitted by law (e.g. tax, accounting). No purpose in this notice will require us to keep your personal information for longer than six (6) months past the termination of your account.

When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your information, we will delete or anonymize it. If deletion is not immediately possible (e.g. backup archives), we will securely store and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.

8. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We cannot promise or guarantee that hackers or cybercriminals will not be able to defeat our security. Transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

9. Do We Collect Information from Minors?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of a minor who consents to their use of the Services.

If we learn that personal information from users under 18 has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under 18, please contact us via our contact form.

You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. You may still receive service-related messages necessary for account administration.

Account Information

To review or change your account information, log in to your account settings or contact us. Upon requesting account termination, we will deactivate or delete your account from active databases. We may retain some information to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, or comply with legal requirements.

11. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. Because no uniform technology standard for recognizing DNT signals has been finalized, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or other mechanisms that automatically communicate your choice not to be tracked. If a standard is adopted in the future, we will update this Privacy Notice accordingly.

California law requires us to disclose how we respond to DNT signals. At this time, we do not respond to them.

12. Do United States Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?

In Short: If you are a resident of certain US states, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information.
